中华民族是一个伟大的民族，有着几千年的文明史。而在近代的一百多年里，历经磨难，饱受屈辱，爱国志士们进行了不屈不饶的抗争，终于在中国共产党的领导下建立了新中国,中华民族重新站起来了！进入二十一世纪，我们伟大的祖国更加繁荣昌盛，爱国主义和历史教育更应该成为我们这个时代的强音。 
        
     面对小学生观看电影《紫日》时发出的笑声，我们感到痛心； 
   
     面对青少年沉湎于外来的游戏、动画而不能自拔，我们感到茫然； 
   
     面对日本右翼否定历史、歪曲历史的种种挑衅，我们感到愤怒； 
   
     面对犹太人、韩国人对自己民族苦难过去的深刻记忆，我们感到敬佩； 
   
     尤其面对民族历史教育的淡漠，导致了一系列诸如“赵薇军旗装”等事件，更使我们感到震惊…… 
 
     所有这些，我们感到的是一种责任。
   
     江泽民同志说：“高举爱国主义旗帜，以史育人，弘扬中华民族精神，振兴祖国。”他指出：“要重视和充分运用信息网络技术，使思想政治工作提高时效性，扩大覆盖面，增强影响力。”
   
     为了弘扬这一精神，我们在影视、网络??少年所喜闻乐见的领域内进行了探索，以期充实爱国主义和??目制作发行一览表”及有关项目的具体资料—— http://www.china918.net/agweb/ylb.htm）。但这与当前信息时代对爱国主义教育的要求还相距甚远。为此，我们真诚地向社会呼吁：共建“爱国主义教育题材项目”，这是我们进行爱国主义教育的第一步。
 
     这个项目情系过去、事关将来，为了不容忘却的历史，为了我们的子孙后代，为了人类的和平，每一位有良知的中国人肩负起历史使命吧！
