Articles:
1. On the Bilingual Education Model of Chinese Universities from the Background of Bilingual Education in Canada and the U.S.A
2. The Bilingual Teaching Programme of Canada and Its Implications for Chinese Universities
Education and working experience Sep., 1984 to July, 1988, Sichuan Institute of Foreign Languages, BA;

Feb.,2004 to Feb., 2005, Faculty of Education, Simon Fraser University, Canada, Visiting Scholar in Immersion Programme
Suggestions Currently, many Chinese universities offer some subject courses in English. However, the majority of the teachers of these courses didn’t receive special training. Consequently, the teaching quality of these courses may not be fully guaranteed. On the other hand, it is well-known that the University of Ottawa in Canada has made remarkable achievements in teaching subject courses through English or French as a second language. Thus, it is significant to do research on how to make use of the experience of the University of Ottawa to improve the teaching and teacher education in the Chinese context. I sincerely hope that the Association of Canadian Studies would give its full support to such research programmes mentioned above.
