Several scholars visited Canada under Special Award for Canadian Studies,
Canadian Cultural Week held in 2005 with 2 visiting Canadian professors
All of the above activities were supported by Canadian embassy in Beijing.
Linkages with: University of Ottawa, Concordia University, University of Regina, CBC, etc.
Canadian Collection: A Library with dozens of Canadian films, around 1000 books and some magazines.

Educational Background: 1984-1988, majored in English in Dept. of English at Nankai University for B.A;  2001-2004 majored in Applied English Linguistics in the Second Foreign language Institute of Beijing for M.A..
Working Experiences:  worked as an English teacher in the English Section of China University of Mining Technology (1988-2001) and in the English Department of Communication University of China (2001-present).

      个人简历
      祖籍浙江宁波，1954年生于广州，后移居湖南衡阳。湖南大学外国语言文学系语言学
与应用语言学研究生毕业，并且获得美国纽约大学昆斯学院颁发的英语教学硕士证书。1988
年研究生毕业后到燕山大学外语系工作，担任英语专业的主要课程的教学。曾任燕山大学外
语系英语专业教研室主任、副教授。1998年到北京广播学院国际传播学院工作，担任过英语
播音、国际新闻、非通用语和英语等专业的英语精读、英语泛读、高级英语、英语语言学、
英语速记等课程的教学。发表了有关语言、传媒、跨文化交际、翻译、英语教学等方面的论
文多篇。主编出版了11部编著。
