     =>1.兰州大学加拿大研究中心举办加拿大研究系列讲座(A Series of Lectures on Canadian Studies Organized at Lanzhou University.)

 

200911月开始,兰州大学加拿大研究中心举办加拿大研究系列讲座。第一讲的主讲人为中心主任刘艺工教授,讲座题目是“加拿大的民族政策与法制”;刘教授是兰大法学院的教师,是卓有建树的外国法制史专家,他的讲座首先介绍了加拿大法制的基本情况,接着回顾了加拿大民族政策与法制的发展与演变。他的讲座配有大量图片,生动有趣,知识丰富,受到了听众的普遍好评。 第二讲主讲人为兰州大学历史文化学院博士生导师李静教授,讲座题目为“加拿大印第安人文化心理”。李教授一直从事加拿大印第安民族文化心理

                 Prof. Liu Yigong giving a lecture                   研究。2005-2006年在加拿大渥太华大学做访问学者,期间曾访问9个印第安部落。回国后继续从事相关研究,曾在国内很多大学做过加拿大印第安人民族文化心理的报告。本次讲座李教授以一个文化人类学学者的视角结合自己加拿大访问的经历探讨了加拿大印第安人的文化心理问题,现场反响热烈;第三场讲座的主讲人是外国语学院教师毛刚副教授,主题是“弗莱与加拿大英语文学的发生发展”。毛老师曾参与完成国家社科项目“加拿大英语文学发生发展研究” 。他的讲座主要探讨了文学批评家弗莱从文化角度对加拿大英语文学确立的巨大贡献;第四场讲座的主讲人是国际政治学院的杨恕教授,杨恕是政治与行政学院教授、博士生导师。杨教授的讲座是关于中加关系问题。杨教授长期关注国际政治问题,本次讲座中,杨教授用很多新信息剖析了影响中加关系的几件大事,听众反响热烈。

不久,兰州大学加拿大研究中心还将推出几个讲座:外语学院杨士虎教授的加拿大商法问题、史菊鸿副教授的加拿大儿童文学、王小平的加拿大联邦诗人讲座等。

     From 2009 November, Canada Studies Center of Lanzhou University organi-zed a series of lectures on Canadian studies. The first lecture was given by Prof. Liu Yigong, Director of the Centre, whose topic was "Canadian national policy and law". Prof. Liu, a distinguished scholar of foreign legal history, is a professor in the Law School of Lanzhou University. He first introduced the basic situation of the Canadian legal system, and then reviewed the development and evolution of Canadian national policy and law. was lively and interesting. The second lecture was made by Prof. Li Jing, an expert from the History and Culture School of Lanzhou University. Her lecture title was “the Psychological Issues of Canadian Indian". Professor Li has been engaged in Canadian Indian national cultural psychology studies for years. in 2005-2006 she stayed at Ottawa University, Canada as a visiting scholar and visited nine Indian tribes. Based on her experiences in Canada, Professor Li’s lecture discussed Canadian Indian culture, psychological problems from a cultural anthropological perspective. After the lecture, Prof. Li answered some questions from the audience. The third lecture “Frye and the Development of Canadian English literature " was made by Mao Gang, an associate professor from School of Foreign Languages and Literature. His lecture main-ly discussed the enormous contribution of Frye, a great Canadian literary critic, from a cultural perspective. The fourth speaker was Prof. Yang Shu from School of International Politics. Prof. Yang's lecture was about Sino-Canada relation-ships. Professor Yang has

In his lecture, he analyzed several events that influence the relationships with much new information. After the lecture, he discussed with the audience on several controversial issues.

Before long Canadian Studies Center in Lanzhou University will launch more lectures on Canadian studies, such as Prof. Yang Shihu’s lecture on Canadian literature, Associate Prof. Shi Juhong’s lecture on Canadian children's literature, and Wang Xiaoping’s lecture on Canadian Confederate poets, etc.
